Thang Binh Professor Trach

This is Quang traditional wooden house used to be owned by Mr Nguyen Nhan in Ba village, Binh Quy commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province before it was transferred to Dong Dinh museum. The house originally consisted of three compartments and two lean-tos that have been restructured into three compartments only. According to Mr Nhan, this house was built in 20 century by his own father who was a district education officier, associated with strong-willed scholars. One of them was Tran Quy Cap, who was a Thang Binh district education officer before Mr Tran moved to Dien Khanh and beheading by the French colonial. This ancient house, besides the antiques, has another tragic memory of Vietnam’s modern history.
